Telehealth Informed Consent

Telehealth uses electronic communications to support evaluation, consultation, education, treatment, follow-up, and related healthcare services when permitted by law.

Telehealth can improve convenience and access, but it may not replace every in-person examination. Technical problems, incomplete information, privacy risks, or the need for hands-on assessment may limit care.

You may ask questions, decline telehealth, or seek in-person care. A clinician may stop or redirect a virtual encounter when telehealth is not clinically appropriate. Emergency symptoms require 911 or immediate in-person evaluation.
